Nick Ayers, Chief of Staff for Mike Pence, will be the next White House Chief of Staff.
Nick Ayers announced on Sunday that he would be leaving the administration at the end of the year.
After news broke that John Kelly would be leaving the post of White House Chief of Staff, reports emerged that Nick Ayers, Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence, would likely be taking the position.
Ayers disputed this Sunday, announcing that he would be leaving the administration all together at the end of the year:
Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @VP, and my great colleagues for the honor to serve our Nation at The White House. I will be departing at the end of the year but will work with the #MAGA team to advance the cause. 🇺🇸 #Georgia— Nick Ayers (@nick_ayers) December 9, 2018
- The Wall Street Journal reported that Ayers and Trump had been unable to reach an agreement on the length of service he would serve.
